How Solar Works

Solar hot water systems starts with an array of solar heating tubes mounted to get the most benefit of the sun’s rays.  These tubes can be mounted on a roof, but can also be mounted almost anywhere to achieve maximum heating.

Sun Save Solar water heaters use tubes that have a special coating which traps the sun’s radiation and concentrates the energy.  The tubes contain a special fluid that will not freeze, and it heats to a very high temperature.

The solar water heaters that  Sun Save Solar installs are a closed system.  That means the heat from the special fluid in the tubes is transferred directly to a coil in your water heater or through an inline heat exchanger for your pool.  This is the most efficient method of trapping the energy of the sun and heating your water.

Sun Save Solar water heaters uses a sophisticated control unit that works automatically in harmony with your existing water heating system to ensure you get the most energy from your solar system.
